The SKJAJA Fund funded more than 50 kids during the 2010-11 school year. Over $10,000 was given to local children to participate in various activities. The majority of the funding was used towards summer activities and camps. There were various pay it forward projects planned from the Community Service Day at Ephesus Elementary to one student collecting grocery gift cards for the schools’ family specialists to give away throughout the year.
The SKJAJA Fund’s mission is to provide underprivileged children in Chapel Hill and Carrboro, North Carolina the opportunity to participate in social and educational enrichment activities such as, but not limited to: team sports or camps, art or dance classes, educational camps; school band/orchestra, etc.
