Invest in our kids

Across our community, too many students are missing out on experiences that build confidence, connection, and joy.

Your gift removes financial barriers and opens doors — giving every student the chance to belong, to grow, and to thrive.

Additional ways to give

Have an instrument to donate? Fill out our form and we’ll be in touch to schedule a pickup and evaluation.

Our goal is to provide students with instruments they’ll be proud to play, so we may need to decline unrepairable donations.

Employer Matching

SKAJAJA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit eligible for many employer matching programs. Approved for: Pfizer, GSK, Accenture, IBM, BCBS. Not listed? Contact us—we can help you get matched!

Tax Free IRA Donation

Capital Gains Donations

If you’re 70½ years or older, you can give up to $100,000 per year directly to a nonprofit—tax-free. Couples filing jointly can give up to $200,000 annually without paying income tax. Consult your financial advisor for details.

If you own stock for more than one year that has gone up in value, you can donate it to SKJAJA Fund. Get a deduction equal to the fair market value of the stock at the time of the transfer. Don't ever pay capital gains tax on the appreciated value of the stock. SKJAJA won't owe captial gains tax either. SKJAJA can sell it right away or hold on to it. Consult your financial advisor for details.

Ignite a Spark. Invest in Impact!

See the difference your monthly gift can make:

  • $100/month — Provides a full school year of private music lessons.

  • $50/month — Supports a season of recreational sports for five youth.

  • $25/month — Covers registration for an overnight field trip for one student.

The SKJAJA PLAY It Forward Program is essential to level the playing field for those who can't otherwise afford instruments and lessons. I have had many students either use a SKJAJA funded instrument or have used SKJAJA funds to provide lessons with their instrument. Without this program, the lack of an instrument would have prevented these students from signing up for music in middle school. We need this program to help us reach those who don't have the financial means that others do for instruments and lessons. Thank you!"
